Outdoor Education: Sound Maps
We explored outside and created sound maps while listening quietly to the sounds around us. The students started by creating an 'X' in the middle of their paper to represent themselves, then listened to the sounds around them and placed them on the map with words, pictures and/or symbols. We ended by sharing how we did it, seeing the differences in the sounds heard and learning how it was different based on where we were in the field. We were so thankful to have such beautiful weather for this day!
